Lesson Creation Tool
Our custom Lesson Creation Tool enables teachers (and even students!) to create their own lessons using an easy-to-use online web application. Just type in your step-by-step lesson, select or create your own graphics and choose what ABii says on each screen. Once you finish creating your custom lessons - on any subject and using any theme - download to your ABii and watch them come to life! The Lesson Creation Tool is available for the ABii School Edition only, comes included for 1 year with any new school edition purchase and may be renewed annually. The Lesson Creation Tool allows you to make lessons in English, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Hindi, Dutch and Italian.
How long is each lesson?
Each lesson is approximately 10-15 minutes long, depending on difficulty level.
What subjects and grade levels does ABii currently offer?
ABii currently comes with Kindergarten - 5th grade math, reading, and life skills lessons.
Your ABii will automatically download all software updates and new lesson content. All core subjects lessons are included at no additional cost.
How do I get new lessons when they are released?
Once you set up the WiFi on your ABii robot, ABii will automatically check for new software and lesson updates each time she powers up. You decide when to download new updates for lessons and software - when it’s most convenient - with just the click of a button on ABii’s web application.
Will ABii offer other subjects and grades?
Yes! Certified K-5 teachers are continually working on new, standards-aligned lessons including all core subjects. ABii now includes math, reading and life skills lessons for K-5th grade students, along with story time and a custom lessons creation page.
Does ABii record video or voice?
No, ABii does not record any videos, images or voice from students. She keeps track of whether students are paying attention (or not) and only records a score that expresses how well your student was paying attention during critical parts of the lesson. What warranty comes with ABii?
A one-year limited manufacturer’s warranty is included for ABii’s mechanical components. For warranty information please contact customer support at info@myvanrobot.com.
ABii Premium Care
Our ABii Premium Care plan comes with each new ABii School Edition purchase and includes unlimited phone and email support, on-site or virtual set up assistance, and insurance against damage to the ABii robot. If ABii is damaged, please email our Customer Success team at info@myvanrobot.com. You will be asked to complete a return form and return ABii in its original box along with all accessories. Up to one new replacement ABii per year is covered under the ABii Premium Care program. ABii Premium Care is subscription-based and may be renewed annually.
I would like to purchase some ABiis for my school. How many students can typically use each robot?
We recommend 1 robot for every 10-15 students, to allow for at least 2-3 sessions per student, per week. The ABii School Edition comes with 30 student licenses and over 1,200 lessons and assessments.
What is your return policy?
If you are not fully satisfied with your ABii purchase, you can return your undamaged ABii robot to Van Robotics within 14 calendar days for a refund. A 20% open box fee will be assessed on any opened unit (per unit). Please email info@myvanrobot.com to request a return. The ABii robot must be returned in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, and documentation.
