Every student can benefit from differentiated instruction in math, reading and social-emotional learning, but time and resources can sometimes limit access or opportunity. We are committed to delivering highly effective solutions and unparalleled support to promote teacher and student success. ABii is widely used during Independent and Small Group Workshop Time, and as a teaching aid by teachers, coaches and counselors.
ABii is data-driven & empirically proven
ABii has been empirically tested over 5 years with more than 4,000 students, across 50 elementary schools. When compared against online computer applications, students that worked with ABii showed significantly better scores improvement on standardized math and reading assessments. ABii works with any WiFi-enabled device and she outperforms other software solutions.
Case Studies
Math & Reading
In 2018, schools in Kansas, Alabama, New York and Texas participated in a Van Robotics efficacy study to evaluate the impact of ABii on fractions or word problems proficiency. With ABii’s help, students made impressive gains. After 2-3 sessions, below-proficient students gained 21% on posttest scores.
From 2019-21, Van Robotics received an Innovation Grant from the SC Department of Education and launched 3 studies with 4,000 students across 57 schools. The studies evaluated math, reading and SEL test score changes after working with ABii compared to other software solutions. Post test scores showed 19% gains after working with ABii, compared to 8% with other solutions.

SEL
In 2022, we launched a continuing study to empirically evaluate how ABii can support improvements in social-emotional learning (SEL) by comparing
(a) student learning gains observed after teacher-led delivery of the “InFocus” SEL curriculum only, to
(b) student learning gains observed after teacher-led instruction plus ABii to reinforce concepts and
(c) student learning gains observed after ABii instruction with InFocus curriculum only.
The results were impressive. 65% of students improved after 30 weeks of teacher-led “InFocus” lessons with ABii reinforcing important concepts. These students improved by an average of 18%!
